
Xing Interactive started out in 2001 as a publisher which mainly relied on 3rd party products to complete its range and although currently 70% of our catalogue consists of proprietary titles we still want to give talented developers a chance to get their game on the retail shelves.
If you feel you have created a title we should consider for distribution then please feel free to contact us and show our technical team a playable demo version. Xing Interactive can potentially publish your title worldwide but of course everything depends on the overall quality and appeal of your creation. Once accepted Xing will offer you a publishing contract and create marketing materials and retail packaging for your product. Then it will be included in Xing Interactive's range of products pitched to all retail, online, OEM and premium channels worldwide (depending on which countries you wish us to handle for you) and you will receive a quarterly statement of what happened and where.
Please note that some titles can do very well and reach a large audience while others simply won't set the world on fire. In the end consumers are the people who buy your product, not retail stores, distributors or publishers. Signing a contract and then leaning back to wait for the magic to happen is not realistic as it takes hard work and persistence to generate revenue from a title.
A PC software title, be it a game, educational product or an application can generate revenue in the following categories:
- Retail: Putting it in a box in a store.
- Online: Selling on internet portals
- OEM: Bundling with computer hardware or other consumer products
- Premium: Promotional products which are customised to contain advertising or branded content
We can offer your product for these channels and get it maximum market exposure. We can't guarantee success as the product quality and retail acceptance define whether or not your game ends up on the shelves or not. It's easy to get carried away and think we overpromise and underdeliver but fact is that 90% of the process is not under the control of Xing Interactive. We'll try to do our very best for you but please keep this in mind all the same.
Xing Interactive invest heavily in marketing products in a variety of media. Reviews and ads in trade and consumer magazines, trade show visits, exhibitions, creation of marketing materials, co-branding with other products and insertion of products in a range are just a few examples. We do our best to generate demand for your product and promote it wherever and however we can.
